Critical Factors for Optimum Biodegradation of Bast Fiber’s Gums in Bacterial Retting
نویسندگان
چکیده
Bast fiber plants require a post-harvest process to yield useable natural cellulosic fibers, denoted as retting or degumming. It encompasses the degradation of cell wall’s non-cellulosic gummy substances (NCGs), facilitating fibers separations, setting fiber’s quality, and determining downstream usages. Due inconvenience traditional practices, bacterial inoculum enzyme applications for gained attention. Therefore, concurrent changes agroclimatic socioeconomic conditions, conventional water confront multiple difficulties, bast industries become vulnerable, agents mediated augmented bio-retting processes trying adapt sustainability. However, this process’s success demands delicate balance among substrates retting-related biotic abiotic factors. These critical factors were coupled degrade NCGs in while holistically disregarded basic research. In study, set defined that critically regulates requires be comprehended achieve optimum without failure. This review presents strain characteristics, potentials, specific plant structure, compositions, solvents, interactions relating maximum removal. Among plants, associated pectin is primary biding material determines dynamics, its degree esterification has proficient effect through enzymatic degradation. The accomplished macerating solvents pH, temperature greatly influence process. article also highlights remediation pollution biocompatible manner concerning industry’s endurance.

متن کاملA Chemical Process for Preparing Cellulosic Fibers Hierarchically from Kenaf Bast Fibers
The objective of this research was to evaluate an all-chemical process to prepare nano-scale to macro-scale cellulosic fibers from kenaf bast fibers, for polymer composite reinforcement. The procedure used in this all-chemical process included alkaline retting to obtain single cellulosic retted fiber, bleaching treatment to obtain delignified bleached fiber, and acidic hydrolysis to obtain both...

Micro flora of the effluents from a dairy factory in Tehran(Pegah Dairy Processing Plant) were isolated and screened for their ability to reduce the organic matter content and COD of the effluents. 10 bacteria were selected due to reduction in COD content from the 4th to 6th day of incubation at 30 °C and pH =11. Highest COD reduction were obtained by two isolates, BP3...
